*** EVENT from Summer 2012 ***
With the 2012 theme of Internationalism running alongside the Olympics this summer, we continue our community outreach by staging a concert for residents of Dorothy House by JeMOO, an orchestra from East Flanders, Belgium.
Mainly composed of orchestral players between 13 and 30 years old, JeMOO contains some of the most gifted players in Belgium.
Many of the performers currently study at the prestigious Conservatory of Ghent, Antwerp Conservatory and the Lemmens Institute of Leuven.
The group is an official sister organisation of Youth and Music, headed by conductor and educationalist Geert Soenen.
For over ten years, Dorothy House has provided hospice care free of charge to the community in Bath, North and West Wiltshire and parts of Somerset. Offering physical, psychological, social and spiritual care to patients and their families facing life threatening illness, death or bereavement.
ICIA is thrilled to put on this prestigious concert for Dorothy House as part of the University of Bath’s Outreach Programme.
