Bobby Baker, Prof Bas Verplanken & Simone Lewis in Conversation

Bobby Baker is one of the most widely acclaimed performance artists working today. In June, ICIA provided space to prepare her new show with collaborator, sculptor Charlie Whittuck. Mad Gyms and Kitchens champions the benefits of exercise and nutrition based on Bobby’s own experiences of recovery from serious physical and mental ill health.
Whilst at the University, her research included meeting Prof Bas Verplanken to discuss ‘habitual processes’, and Sports Psychologist Simone Lewis, who is involved in the University’s 2012 Paralympic Games training programme. Bobby and Charlie’s exhibition reveals the artists’ work in progress during their research and development period.
