Come along to our Open House

Would you like to know more about IMI's current work and how you can get involved?

All staff and PhD students at the University of Bath are warmly invited to our fortnightly IMI Open House. This is an informal coffee morning with short talks and discussion which will give you a flavour of IMI's current activities.

Next IMI Open House: Thursday 6 April from 11.15 am - 12.05 pm in the Wolfson Lecture Theatre (4W 1.7).

Open House meetings is also an opportunity for you to pitch collaboration ideas or present current research challenges with a potential mathematical or statistical angle, and will also showcase some of the IMI Internal Secondee projects.

The IMI Open House aims to:

  • demonstrate how working with mathematicians or statisticians is mutually beneficial
  • introduce you to researchers across campus who are interested in similar problems
  • inform you of research opportunities with our industrial partners
  • let you know how you can work with CRA
  • facilitate cross-campus research collaborations that involve a mathematical element.

You don’t need to let us know in advance that you are coming. Just come along on the day for an informal talk and exchange of ideas. We will also be happy to answer any question you may have, big or small, and importantly, there will be plenty of tea, coffee and cake.

If you have an interest in working with mathematicians or statisticians, or collaborating with an industry partner, please join us at IMI Open House!

We look forward to seeing you.
