Nominate your IMI Global Chair candidate
The Global Chairs visiting professorship scheme attracts distinguished, globally renowned scholars to engage in a programme of high-profile research activity at the University of Bath.
Global Chairs are nominated by a member of staff at the University of Bath, who acts as host during the visit. Visits last for 2-3 months in total, but this can be split into separate periods. Global Chairs will give a Public Lecture, as well as a number of research seminars or similar activities.
Nominations are currently open for the 2017-18 IMI Global Chair. The deadline for submitting your nomination form along with a full CV of the nominated candidate is Friday 31st March 2017.
Apply for IMI Senior Academic Visitor funding
IMI hosts a programme of research visits from leading national and international researchers. We can support 5 senior academic visitors a year with a maximum of £6,000 per visit for travel and subsistence.
Visits may last from a week up to six months and will contribute to IMI through:
- research collaborations, including the development of joint funding proposals
- teaching, through seminars and short lecture courses (notably to SAMBa students), and, a general academic seminar program
- contributing to the vitality of the university‘s academic life
How to apply
All applications must be received at least two months before the start date of the proposed visit.
