Collaborate with us
Mathematics underpins all modern science and technology, and its application can deliver exceptional results in most industries and areas of research.
We work with companies in a variety of sectors, providing innovative solutions to complex challenges. To foster greater interdisciplinary collaboration, we also support cross-campus research activities and collaborate with researchers globally.
Our Commercial Research Associates work with academics from across the University of Bath to solve problems for companies and the public sector. They provide short-term consultancy services or work with industry on larger joint research projects.
In close collaboration with our business partners, we improve processes, simulate outcomes, optimise resource usage and enhance the understanding of complex phenomena. View our case studies.

Each year, Bath IMI supports a number of workshops organised by academic researchers. A workshop is typically a 1-5 day meeting that brings together academic researchers providing an opportunity for networking, exchanging ideas, problem solving or identification of areas for collaboration. Participants in workshops may also include industrial researchers and practitioners.
Our internal secondment scheme for staff at the University of Bath offers exciting opportunities to link up researchers across campus, develop new projects, and work with industrial partners.
