Who is covered?

All employees, postgraduates and their accompanying partners and children

What trips are covered?

Any trip outside the UK or any trip within the UK which involves an overnight stay or a flight, made primarily on University business, including incidental holidays (the holiday element must be shorter than the business and no longer than 7 days)

How to register each trip

Please complete the form after clicking on this link. You will have to supply the name of the traveller, email address and details of the trip and confirm that you have relevant permission to travel. You will receive on-screen confirmation of cover only. Register travel details here

If you require a personalised evidence of cover (e.g. for a visa application) please register your trip as above and then email travel-insurance@bath.ac.uk to request.

Main cover benefits

Unlimited medical and other expenses
Cancellation, alteration, rearrangement,
replacement expenses up to £10,000 (cover commences when trip is registered)
Personal belongings (£2,000 max per item) £10,000
Business equipment £1,500
Money £2,000

There are many other benefits available through the emergency helpline and website provided.

Main cover restrictions/exclusions

Travelling against medical advice
Age limit – 75 (only applies for trips longer than 30 days)
Trips not registered
Cancellation claims where circumstances exist prior to trip registration
