Collections & Deliveries

Mail for mid-day collection by Royal Mail in the categories, First class, Special Delivery, Recorded, Compensated Fee Parcels, Airsure, International Signed For and overseas postings, must be in the Post Room by 1130. Mail not received by that time and all other categories will go by a later afternoon collection.

Every effort should be made to keep late posting to a minimum. If numbers are large it may not be possible to deal with all the mail before the Royal Mail collects.

Mail taken to the Post Room after the last round must be there by 1630. University mail is scheduled for collection at 1710 and the public post boxes are cleared at the same time.

The University has postal links with Carpenter House, Holburne Museum, Royal United Hospital and Swindon campus. Any mail for these destinations must be put in the internal mail tray. Mail in the external tray will be Franked and charged to the appropriate account.
