Work is currently under-way to produce policy for all the major types of records created and used in the University. All record retention periods proposed by the Records Management Steering Group and approved as policy are published in the University Records Retention Schedule which is regularly updated as new policies are approved. Retention policies for over 150 different types of record have been approved and grouped into nine main categories as described below.
