£1,500 Interest-Free Loan To Purchase A Motorcycle

University of Bath staff can apply for an interest-free loan towards the purchase of a motorcycle (and associated safety equipment) used predominantly for the purpose of traveling to work.

Any member of staff paid monthly through the payroll may apply. The value of loan up to a maximum of £1,500 will be deducted from salary in 24 monthly installments.

How the scheme works

• Decide on your chosen vehicle.
• Get a written quotation from the supplier.
• Complete the Application Form and return to the Payroll Office.
• Allow 10 working days for processing the application and collect your cheque.
• Pay for your vehicle!
• Send a copy of the vehicle’s registration document and the original receipt to the Payroll Office within one month of issue of the cheque.

Notes:

The Application Form contains full Terms and Conditions of the loan.

You will be the legal owner of the motorcycle, so it is your responsibility to tax and insure it.

You will need to repay the loan if you leave employment of the University.

You can only have one interest-free loan at any time over a 24-month period.

You cannot participate in the Motorcycle Purchase scheme and the Cycle Scheme at the same time.
