Careers workshops for international students
Although you are welcome to attend any relevant workshops run by the Careers Advisory Service, there are a number of workshops available which cater specifically for the needs of and demands placed on international students in today's employment market. UK Recruitment for International Students
This talk focuses on graduate opportunities in the UK, how to look for jobs and learn about employers. It also looks at the challenges for international students seeking work in the UK and how to maximise your chances of success.
CVs and Cover Letters for International Students
A practical workshop taking a detailed look at CVs and covering letters. If you have one, bring along your own CV in order to take advantage of this workshop.
Interview Skills for International Students
Another practical workshop including opportunities to analyse the different questions that employers ask and to undertake some practice exercises. After attending this workshop, students will have the option to book a short one-to-one practice interview with the Careers Advisory Service.
How to book onto a course
Sign up in the Careers Advisory Service in Norwood House 2.7 (near the Students' Union).
You will need to pay a refundable deposit of £5 to ensure that you attend if you sign up. You will be reimbursed upon attendance.
