Visa and immigration news

Travelling over the summer holidays?
Stay safe - increasing numbers of students have reported that their passports and visas have been stolen whilst travelling this summer. What to do if you lose your passport and / or your visa.
If your visa is due to expire soon, you are strongly advised to extend your visa at home if possible (this is generally quicker and cheaper than applying in the UK). If you do not have time, you can extend when you return to Bath using our Check and Send service. You may need to explain that you plan to extend your visa in the UK when you come through immigration - you are advised to carry a student status letter and financial documents in your hand luggage.
Making a Tier 4 visa application in the UK?
There is a new, fully online, application form. Make sure you do not submit and pay before your Check and Send appointment with an adviser.
The International Student Advice Team are available to answer queries in drop-in advice sessions and through the online Student Services Helpdesk (SAMIS).

Please note that applications for worker authorisation are now costing £55.
