Rotary Programme 07Welcome to the Spring issue of InterCom, the newsletter which aims to keep you up-to-date with issues of interest to international students - we hope you find it both informative and enjoyable to read!

In this issue you can find out what the Hospitality Department on campus is doing to make your student experience even better, read about the experience of one of our First Steps students, what's it like to be a part of the HOST and the Rotary programmes, look at what one of our students had for dinner at La Tasca in Bristol, and find out what our film critic thinks of the recent film, Lust, Caution, and the classic Japanese film, Ikiru.

We are always interested in hearing your news and if you would like to write for InterCom in the future, just send your details to the International Office - if we publish an article, you will receive a gift voucher!

Get UK Work Experience as a Students' Union Sabbatical Officer
A Sabb is a student who takes a year out away from their study to run their Students' Union. A Sabb is there to take forward student views to help develop the University. By becoming a Sabb you can make a difference to how your University is run. You can represent the views of international students. For example, annoyed with the quality of food available on campus and the hours that the outlets are open, feel that students should receive better feedback relating to their academic work, would like to see more integration of UK and international students, then make a change!
