The Institute for Policy Research scheme for bringing international scholars and policy makers to the University
The Institute for Policy Research has a scheme for bringing international scholars and policy
makers to the University for short visits.
The Visiting Scholar Awards are intended to support outstanding academics with a permanent
position at a non-UK university to spend a period of time up to three months at the University of
Bath.
The Visiting Policy Maker Awards are intended to support policy makers from overseas
governments, international organisations and international NGOs, to spend a similar period of time
here. The nominee should have a strong record of knowledge exchange across the
research/policy interface and should be involved in the development of policy on issues of central
interest for the IPR.
Each year the IPR will contribute up to £5k towards the travel and living accommodation costs
of the successful applicants in each of the two schemes.
The next deadline for awards is
31st May 2013.
Applications should be sent to
Hannah Durrant, IPR
coordinator.
