About this course
Description
The course is designed to run for three weeks. The places are limited to 8. The course will be mainly online, sandwiched between face-to-face meetings in which you will be introduced to the software, share experiences, discuss progress and identify any support needs. You will be expected to contribute up to 10 hours in total.
The broad aims are to collaboratively answer the following questions:
- what authoring software is - and what it isn't
- the benefits of using authoring software to create online tutorials
- how to use authoring software to its best potential in teaching and learning
During Week 2 of the course, your hours will be spent developing a tutorial yourself. There will be online drop-in support sessions, frequent enough for the needs of the group. You'll also have online support materials, and will be encouraged in Week 3 to share your learning experiences and best practice with fellow attendees.
