About this course
Aims
The aim of this workshop is to introduce you to best practice in designing your e-Learning activities. This will be through working up a number of authentic scenarios then using an e-learning design brief to plan out what is needed. Through out the session you'll be able to access online resources to help you make the appropriate design principles. The session will also introduce some key ideas including how to motivate students to participate, and active learning.
Approach
The following principles underpin how we design and develop our face to face staff development workshops and seminars:
- Use a range of different styles
- Adopt an informal approach
- Focus on the participants' needs
- Act as a showcase for the effective use of appropriate technologies
- Contextualise how the workshop fits into our wider staff development programme
- Our role is to facilitate not to lecture
- Showcase case studies and uses from the University of Bath
