About this course
Aims and objectives
To enable participants to develop confidence in managing tutorials and seminars by:
- Identifying a range of teaching and learning strategies that are effective in small group work and identifying ways in which they can be implemented
- Identifying effective strategies for managing the dynamics of smaller learning groups.

About the presenter
Sheila Trahar is a senior lecturer in the Graduate School of Education, University of Bristol. The common themes that connect her research interests are cross-cultural communication, learning and teaching in higher education and the methodological complexities of researching across cultures. Sheila is Director of the Master of Education (MEd) programme taught in Hong Kong at City University, teaches on the MEd and Doctor of Education (EdD) programmes in Bristol and Hong Kong and on the MSc Educational Research programme.
