Dr Steve Bull wins Excellence in Doctoral Supervision Prize 2013
Dr Steve
Bull, Department of Chemistry, is this year's winner of the University's Excellence in Doctoral
Supervision Prize. Announced by the Chair of the selection panel, Professor Jane Millar,
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research), this annual Prize promotes, recognises and rewards excellence in
the supervision of doctoral students of all kinds. Professor Millar said:
'We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Dr Bull on his Prize this year. From
a strong field of nominees, Dr Bull's highly successful research and supervisory activities were
recognised as exceptional. With over 145 research papers to his name combined with supporting 19
PhD students through to successful completion, the Panel were in no doubt that Dr Bull was very
well deserving of this Prize. It is through these high levels of commitment and productivity, that
we continue to enhance and strengthen our research profile, both in the UK and internationally.'

consultation with Directors of Studies for Postgraduate students.
