Diversifying assessment practices - don't miss the LEAP event on 27 June!

Are you thinking about how to diversify your assessment and feedback practices? If yes, why not come and join our lunchtime workshop to be held on Thursday 27 June 2013 from 12.15 to 2.00 pm. The workshop is to be held in 4 West 1.2.

You can book a place on this workshop by emailing Dan White by Friday 21 June 2013.

We are running this workshop as part of the Leading the Enhancement of Assessment Practices (LEAP) project. A number of colleagues from across the University will be giving a series of presentations highlighting the different approaches they have taken to assessment and feedback. This will be followed by a market place event where you can explore some of the tools and technologies available to support you in enhancing assessment practices.

Lunch will be provided so please inform us of any dietary requirements.

Presentations will cover Rubrics, Group Work, Using Quizzes and e-Portfolios and Peer Marking while the market place will highlight uses for a range of tools including:

  • Mahara e-portfolio tool
  • Rubrics in Moodle
  • Grademark and Turnitin
  • Online digital presentations
  • The Moodle workshop
  • Using the quiz tool
  • Using mobile devices for assessment and feedback
  • Group work activities
  • Assessment criteria

Further information on the LEAP project, please email Kyriaki Anagnostopoulou, Head of e-Learning, Learning & Teaching Enhancement Office (LTEO).
