URGENT CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: Support your students to become e-Pioneers
Are you interested in supporting your students to explore how technology can enhance their learning?
We have a small amount of funding available for allocation before the end of this month - £500* per Faculty/School to encourage student participation in small projects that involve groups of two/three students taking the lead in an aspect of their studies to explore the use of technology in learning and teaching.
We are inviting brief expressions of interest by Friday 26 July 2013. We would anticipate this activity taking place in Semester 1.
This activity will form part of the on-going work building on the two year PriDE project. The main aim of PriDE is to explore how we support students and staff to develop and utilise their digital skills in all relevant aspects of their learning and professional lives. As part of this, we are seeking up to four members of academic staff, who are interested in supporting a small group of their students to take the lead role in facilitating the delivery of part, or all of, a unit through Moodle, or other technologies thus enabling their students to develop their understanding and use of technology. This may take the form of leading an online discussion, facilitating the development of a learning exercise such as developing a wiki or similar tool, perhaps as part of a wider project.
Please send a brief (two paragraphs maximum) expression of interest outlining the learning objectives/outcomes of the proposed activity by emailing Sarah Turpin, Executive Assistant, Learning & Teaching Enhancement Office, by no later than close of play on Friday 26 July.
*Please note the funding is to be passed on directly to students and held in K-accounts until that time.
