University Teaching Awards 2017
The University Teaching Awards encourage and recognise significant contributions by staff to the academic lives of students and staff. These awards are an important part of the University's commitment to learning and teaching excellence.
Each year staff and students are invited to nominate colleagues for these Awards.
The Awards Committee is chaired by the University's Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching).
There are six awards:
- Innovation in Learning & Teaching
- John Willis
- Mary Tasker
- Leadership in Learning & Teaching
- Best Team in Support of Student Learning
- Excellence in Doctoral Supervision
Nominations are now closed for 2017.
Supporting statements are requested and collated during March/April and nominations considered by the University's Awards Committee in April.
All nominees will be invited to attend an Awards Evening taking place on the 2nd May (a joint event with the Student Union Academic Rep Awards). Award certificates will be presented at the degree ceremonies in July.
