University Teaching Awards

The University Teaching Awards encourage and recognise significant contributions by staff to the academic lives of students and staff. These awards are an important part of the University's commitment to learning and teaching excellence.

Each year staff and students are invited to nominate colleagues for these Awards.

The Awards Committee is chaired by the University's Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching).

The Awards

There are five awards:

Timescale

The exact dates for the nomination process are advertised by the end of January each year.

The nomination process starts in January with a closing date in early March.

Supporting statements are requested and collated during March/April 2013 and nominations considered by the University's Awards Committee in early May. Decisions are usually announced around mid May.
