About the workshop

This session will introduce the management of research data: what it involves, why it is important, and what support and strategies are available for the successful organisation, storage, archive and publication of research data.

The workshop includes the development of a data management plan for your project.

Learning outcomes

After the workshop you will 

  • understand what research data are and what management of research data involves
  • be able to identify what policies apply to your research data
  • appreciate who is responsible for the management of your research data
  • understand how to look after your data in the long-term
  • know who to ask for help with data management
