Staff development opportunities in e-Learning
The e-learning team runs a range of staff development activities which are designed to meet departments, groups and individuals needs. These include;
- The e-learning unit on the PGCAPP
- Workshops, seminars and presentations
- 1-2-1 support
- The e-learning practitioners forum
- A number of online activities
So, how might you get assistance to effectively integrate e-learning into your teaching, learning and administration? The following outlines a few starting points, however, if none of these meet your needs then simply email us to arrange a meeting to further discuss your ideas. Our email is e-learning@bath.ac.uk
Why not enrol on the e-learning Unit within the PGCAPP?
The PGCAPP is the University of Bath’s 'Postgraduate Certificate in Academic and Professional Practice’. It is a flexible, part-time, work-based, Masters level programme which offers you the opportunity to accredit your academic practice and relevant prior experience towards the qualification.
Within this programme the e-learning team manage Unit 6. An outline of the e-learning unit is available here.
Why not attend one of our workshops or seminars?
We run a range of workshops (2 or 3 hours) and seminars (45 minutes) on different e-learning topics. For more information on our current workshop and seminar programme, then visit the events page on the LTEO web site.
Why not request a workshop or seminar for your Department or for a few people?
Our workshops and other areas of expertise can be tailored to local needs, and discipline context. Therefore, with your input we can develop and deliver a workshop that is tailored to your specific needs. We can also help arrange the room for this workshop. For more information email e-learning@bath.ac.uk
Why not simply arrange a meeting with a member of the team?
We don’t provide a drop-in service, however, we can easily accommodate a one to one meeting to discuss your ideas and needs, while also providing some hands-on support. To arrange a meeting then please email e-learning@bath.ac.uk
Why not join the e-learning practitioners forum?
The e-learning practitioners forum (eLPF) has been re-designed for 2008-09. The aim of the forum is to facilitate the sharing of effective practice, and help build an active e-learning community across the University. The eLPF meets each term where practitioners exchange ideas and experiences around a specific theme. There is also an emerging online community which is available through Moodle. To enrol on the course then access Moodle (http://moodle.bath.ac.uk), search for the e-learning practitioners forum (elpf) and enter the enrolment key: elpf.
Why not access some of the online support material?
