Requesting and accessing electronic inter-library loans

Inter-Library loan journal articles and book chapters can be delivered, direct to your desktop, via the British Library’s DRM Lite system. In order to access DRM Lite files you will need to complete a simple one off registration with the British Library’s On Demand Service. Please read on for more details.

Guidance for requesting electronic documents

To request an electronic inter-library loan please complete the University of Bath Library’s on-line request form.

Guidance for registration for electronic delivery

  1. Register with the British Library’s On Demand service.
  2. Follow the “Don’t have a British Library Online Account Yet?”
  3. Complete the registration form (please use your …@bath.ac.uk email address).
  4. You will be asked to register a username and password. Important: usernames containing the ‘@’ symbol can cause documents to fail to open. Please avoid creating usernames containing the ‘@’ symbol.
  5. You will receive an email asking you to verify your account – follow the verification process contained within this email.
  6. You will receive an email confirming your registration – you do not need to forward this email to us.
