Detail Inspiration (Detail Magazine 1987-)

In this database you can keyword search or browse a detailed hierarchy for more than 3,200 DETAIL Projects in English from 1987-. You can download the content as full text pdfs from Detail magazine. It is also possible to browse the Archive for specific issues of Detail magazine and access PDF articles through that part of the Detail website. For the more extensive German language content including original German PDFs, see below. There is a lot more content in the original German and if you use Google Chrome you can instantly translate the database into English to make it easy to browse the content.

Detail Inspiration DE (Detail Zeitschrift 1962-)

This is the German-language version of the above database, providing over 5,300 original, untranslated German language projects including the archive of projects from 1962-. The filtering is the same albeit in German. You can browse to specific issues (DETAIL-Auslage option) or browse the Archive of the German edition. The best approach is to use Google Chrome as your Internet Browser then right click on the screen then click Translate to English - this will convert everything on the screen including the search options into English instantly. However, it will not translate the PDFs.  The benefit of using the German edition is that it covers many more years and not all current issues of the German magazine are translated into the English edition (above).
