Website of the US professional society for aerospace engineering. Includes details of the society's activities, research, and publications.

Acquisition System Guidance (Ministry of Defence)

Ministry of Defence acquisition policy and guidance. 

ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers)

Website of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.  Includes searchable/browsable engineering news and articles on a broad range of topics, as well details of the society's activities and publications.

ASTM International

Website of ASTM International, formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials. ASTM International is a leading international standards development orgnaization, and the site includes basic information on ASTM standards.

Civil Aviation Authority Homepage (CAA)

The website for the UK's independent specialist aviation regulator.  Its activities include economic regulation, airspace policy, safety regulation and consumer protection. CAA publications are made available in an electronic format. Publications include Airworthiness Requirements documents for various types of flying vehicles. Use the Publications shortcut on the CAA homepage to search for specific documents.  

Institution of Engineering Technology (IET)

Information about the Institution, including publications, membership, events and careers. Student membership allows access to IET Library services and the site has a dedicated student zone

Institution of Materials

Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)

Website of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.  Includes information on student membership which allows access to IMechE library services, as well as career advice, guidance on writing project reports, and more.

Institute of Physics (IOP)

Information about the Institute and its activities, especially that of its active publishing division. The IOP publishes major research journals in pure and applied physics, including materials science, microengineering, semiconductors and biophysics.
