Finding dissertations and theses: dissertations are available in either printed or electronic format. Theses are available electronically. Use the Library Catalogue. to search for titles. You can also browse for titles of dissertations and theses (research degrees).
Electronic theses are also accessible by searching Opus: University of Bath Repository: where you will also find papers written by the University of Bath academics.
Collecting printed theses and dissertations: these are available on request from the main counter on Level 2 and are for use in the Library only. Printed theses from 1998 onwards are available immediately and pre-1998 stock can be obtained overnight. Printed dissertations are available from 2006-2011.
Submitting a thesis: for research postgraduates who are required to submit their theses for inclusion in Opus

EThOS: British Library's e-Thesis Service: information about UK theses: some of which are available as full-text downloads once you have registered.
If a thesis is unavailable, you can ask the British Library to add it to EThOS: there may be a charge involved: please contact your Subject Librarian or Inter-library Loans for more information.
Index to Theses: information about theses accepted for higher degrees by the Universities of UK & Ireland from 1716 onwards. Provides full text links to some 50,000 free theses via institutional repositories and EThOS service.

DissOnline.de (Digitale Dissertationen im Internet): German online dissertations: German online dissertations: select 'Recherche' and then 'Volltextsuche'
ERIC (Education Resources Information Center): search for US e-theses by selecting 'Show only results with free full text directly from ERIC' box in Advanced Search and all four dissertation types in the 'Publication Types' section
NARCIS: gateway to Dutch scientific research: select 'E-theses', then filter results by type, 'Doctoral thesis'
PQDT Open: open access dissertations & theses, primarily from the U.S.A.
Theses Canada: select 'Search the Theses Collection' and limit the search to 'Electronic theses'
Trove: Australian digital higher degree theses provided via the National Library of Australia. Enter your search term and select the ‘Australian content’ option. Limit the results to theses-only by choosing 'Thesis' as the format in 'Refine your results'.
