FOR ALL ADMISSIONS ENQUIRIES, PLEASE CONTACT THE COLLEGE DIRECTLY

Designed to appeal to those students with a strong interest in competition vehicle design, construction and preparation, the course has been developed with considerable support from the local, regional and national motorsport industry. It provides a broad based core of skills and knowledge applicable for a range of careers associated with the performance road and competition vehicle industries. Students study all aspects of race car design and manufacture, including chassis, power train, aerodynamics, telemetry and electronics and apply this knowledge in the practical setting of race car preparation. Students also develop their personal core skills to enable them to be effective communicators and be able to take responsibility in the work place. Workbased learning and competition projects form an integral part of the programme.

Students are registered at the University of Bath and Wiltshire College however the delivery will be solely at the Castle Combe Circuit.  The Castle Combe race circuit is a unique teaching and vocational learning centre including workshops, laboratories and classrooms has been purpose built to accommodate the course. On successful completion of the Foundation degree, students will be given the opportunity to progress to a one-year programme leading to a BSc (Hons) Motorsport Engineering Work-based Learning degree.

The development of this programme was partly funded by the European Social Fund.
