Honours Year Programmes
The University of Bath, in partnership with partner organisations and local colleges, has developed a number of work-based learning Honours Year programmes. These have been designed to provide honours degree status to students who have achieved intermediate level qualification through an associated Foundation Degree from the University of Bath.
- The Honours Year programmes adopt the same work-based learning approach as our Foundation Degrees, but add value by preparing students for potential, longer-term leadership roles at work while providing subject-specific knowledge at honours level
- Students are be able to study on either a full-time or part-time basis
- Teaching is delivered by partner institutions
- Students develop research and project management skills by undertaking a work-based research project supported by taught material
- Students gain an increased understanding of their subject in a management context by studying Professional Skills units
- Students continue to study their chosen subject at honours level, building on the expertise acquired during their Foundation Degree and further developing the critical, analytical, and reflective approach valued by employers
