BA (Hons) Creative Digital Media (work-based learning)

This programme is designed to provide Honours degree status to students who have achieved an Intermediate level qualification through the University of Bath Foundation Degree in Creative Digital Media.

There are three main strands to the Honours year; students undertake a written research project which explores an industry-related media theme. They also study four management units and work on a major media production. The media production constitutes the four stages of a major media production and builds on the knowledge and competencies acquired during the Foundation degree giving students the opportunity to demonstrate a high level of practical and creative skill. The production can be completed using any media. These world probably take (but are not limited to) the form of video production, photography, digital prints, interactive CD, complex websites, or digital installations.

The practical nature of the production means that the skills of administration developed during the Foundation Degree and the managerial skills being developed during the Honours Year are given the opportunity of demonstration. The four stages of the media production will collectively realise the development and application of the skills learned in and demonstrated by the output of the Work-based Research Project.
