The Tale Of The Tulip
Wednesday 9 March
Lecture Theatre 8W 1.1
In 1593, a beautiful and exotic visitor from the middle east landed on the shores of Europe. Feted in art and literature, she quickly became the Queen of the Garden, yet her reign lasted only a quarter of a century before her reputation was dragged through the mire in one of the continent's most serious financial crashes. "The Tale Of The Tulip" is a blockbuster of garden history and brings the story of the mysterious flower to life - power, passion and petals!
