Europe's Great Witch Hunt
Wednesday 16 March
Lecture Theatre 8W 1.1
Between the fifteenth and eighteenth centures, most European nations feared witchcraft and put people to death for allegedly practising it, in a way that they did not do either before or since. This talk is designed to answer the questions of why they did so, why they stopped doing so and whether they could do so again.
