Foundation Degrees
in Applied Computing, Creative Digital Media and Engineering Systems for September 2011. If
you are not familiar with Foundation Degrees, then here are some key facts:
Foundation Degrees are Level 5/Intermediate Higher Education qualifications which integrate
both academic and work-based learning to equip you with the skills and knowledge for employment.
Foundation Degrees are recognised and valued qualifications in their own right, but can also
act as a stepping stone to a higher qualification. On successful completion of your Foundation
Degree, you will be given the option of completing a one-year (full-time) or 18 month/2 year
(part-time) top-up programme leading to a full Honours Degree (subject to meeting the necessary
entry requirements);
Our Foundation Degrees are delivered by approved further education colleges and partner
organisations so you can study locally, saving on travel and accommodation costs.
