Microsoft visit inspires Weston College Students
A top developer from computer giant Microsoft visited Weston College to shed light on careers in
the gaming industry.

Dr Mike Froggatt, Publishing Development Lead at Microsoft UK, talked to more than 50 Level 3 Extended Diploma and HE students interested in the highly competitive world of computer games development.
Dr Froggatt gave the group an insightful overview of the industry at present, concentrating on what makes certain games attractive and the increasing development of games on mobile technology.
He also explained how to pursue a career in games development, advising that a range of skills were required, including technical ability, imagination and creativity.
Janice Castle, Weston College's Curriculum Manager for Computing, said: “Mike Froggatt is obviously an expert in his field and is a very engaging speaker. Computer gaming is a very interesting subject for our students, especially those who are looking for a career in this area, and so we really welcome the good advice and knowledge that someone like Mike can give us.”
