In the 2012 Sunday Times University Guide the University of Bath is named University of the Year.

The accolade is designed to recognise a university’s all-round excellence, encompassing a range of aspects of research, teaching, employability and the student experience.

The Bath MBA is now ranked 1st place in the UK for the category ‘salary increase’.

Overall it ranks 2nd in the UK and it is rated 21st out of the world's top 100 MBA programmes placing it amongst the global elite.

Bath is rated 1st in the Business ranking for graduate jobs and 1st for the number of first class and 2:1 degrees.

It is also shown to have the lowest drop-out rate for business students.

The School of Management is ranked 2nd for Accounting and Finance and 3rd for Business Studies.

Four measures are used in the compilation of the subject rankings: Student Satisfaction, Research Assessment, Entry Standards and Graduate Prospects.

Bath's MSc in Accounting and Finance has been included in the Financial Times' inaugural ranking of pre-experience Masters in Finance programmes.

Only the top 30 programmes from across the globe made the ranking.  The results for Bath show 93% of graduates who were looking for work obtained jobs within three months of completing their programme, highlighting the excellent employment prospects of our graduates.

In the latest edition of the ranking of top global MBAs América Economía has ranked Bath 15th in the world and 2nd in the UK.

Bath MBA ranked 3rd in the UK by CNN Expansión

The Bath MBA has once again been recognised as one of the leading MBAs in the world in the international ranking published by CNN Expansión, Mexico’s leading business magazine.  Bath is placed 3rd in the UK in the 2012 ranking.

In the influential National Student Survey, a census of students in their final year of undergraduate study, Bath is ranked 2nd for Accounting & Finance based on feedback by students relating to their overall satisfaction with their course.

The School has consistently achieved both top research and teaching ratings in the Higher Education Funding Council for England ( HEFCE ) assessments.

The HEFCE was set up by the UK government to be responsible for the distribution of public money for teaching and research to universities and colleges. In the most recent Research Assessment Exercise ( RAE 2008 ), the University of Bath School of Management was ranked 5th in the UK for business and management research, equal to Oxford and LSE. An impressive ninety percent of the School’s faculty submitted to the RAE. Institutions were ranked on a weighted GPA of their quality profile, using a scale from 0 to 4*. Thirty percent of our research was rated 4* and therefore considered ‘world-leading in terms of originality, significance and rigour’. Seventy percent of our research was rated 3* and ‘internationally excellent’.
