DBA in Higher Education Management EQUIS Logo

quote “I think the programme has been so successful because we’ve managed to bring together higher education managers from all over the world who have been able to actually take the academic skills that they’ve learnt on the programme back into their workplace; and they’ve also taken the skills from their workplace, the professional skills, and they’ve incorporated that into the academic literature”

ICHEM's Doctor of Business Administration in Higher Education Management commenced in May 2002 and has proved to be an outstanding success, attracting participants from all over the world. The programme was devised following widespread consultation. This identified a clear need for a part-time professional /practice-based doctorate in higher education management with a structure that combines coursework and substantial research enquiry. As higher education becomes an increasingly complex business it demands leadership and management skills of a higher order than ever before. The DBA (HEM) is aimed at the so-called reflective professional who is career minded and looking for a systematic research programme that gives particular priority to developing management expertise.

For course details and further information please contact ICHEM or email dbahem@bath.ac.uk
