23rd May, 2013 : 'Dealing with Supply Chain Risk'
Understanding the Impact of Network Characteristics
Supply chain disruptions have been shown to have major implications for the profitability, survival and future growth of organisations. In high profile events, prolonged disruptions have reduced earnings by as much as $900 million per quarter with operating performance reduced over a two year period.
In recent years the management of supply chain risks has risen to prominence yet ironically, factors originally championed for driving better supply chain efficiency now appear to be creating greater vulnerabilities.
Presented by Professors Mike Lewis and Brian Squire
In this key Strategic Operations themed Master Class, Professors Mike Lewis and Brian Squire explore why supply chain design is critical to reducing vulnerability to disruptions in order to secure both earnings and operational performance.
