Sunday Times University Guide // further details...

In today’s global economy, there is a strong demand for leaders and managers who can combine a broad range of managerial skills and knowledge, fluency in a second language and the ability to function effectively in an international business environment.

For over sixteen years, the University of Bath’s BSc in International Management and Modern Languages, known as IMML, has been providing a carefully developed curriculum to meet these needs. Key features of the programme include:

  • Four-year programme with a year spent abroad, either studying in one of our partner business schools, working in an international business environment on placement, or combining both.
  • Develop transferable skills, business awareness and maturity, as well as fluency in Spanish, French or German.
  • The IMML programme is offered jointly by the School of Management and the Department of Politics, Languages & International Studies, both leading departments in their own fields.
  • IMML graduates have excellent career prospects and the degree is held in high regard by many of the top graduate employers

“We all went to Chile for our placement year...all of us split it into two in that we had 50% of it in a business school - one of the most prestigious universities in the country - and also 50% in a work placement... ”
