Placement, business school, or both?
The year abroad is a demanding and rewarding experience, allowing you to build your language fluency, apply the management theory you have learnt in the classroom, and learn more about a different country and culture.
Placement
If you opt for the placement-only route, you will spend a minimum of nine months working in a company, although most students choose to stay on longer to maximise their business experience and language competence.
Business School
Alternatively, choose to spend a full academic year at one of our partner business schools in either France, Spain, Germany, Latin America or Canada.
Business school and placement
Combine both options and enjoy two very different experiences during your third year. Spend one semester at a partner business school then go on to a work placement of four to six months. This option gives you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the culture and the language of the country before having to cope with the demands of a day-to-day job.
My year abroad was a truly wonderful experience, teaching me how to be independent, improving my language skills, and best of all, it built some lifelong friendships.
