Why study the DBA in Higher Education Management

The DBA (HEM) is the first programme of its kind developed world-wide. It is distinctive in that it is based in a leading School of Management and combines research excellence with professional practice. The interdisciplinary nature of the research carried out puts Bath at the forefront of this exciting field.

Students enrolled on the DBA (HEM) all hold senior positions within the Higher Education sector and represent a significant body of leading experts in this field. Taken together, our students represent the largest international group of leading research managers in the HE field. They will go on to produce some of the most significant, influential and cutting-edge research in this area.

    You should be a graduate of an approved university or hold a graduate-equivalent professional qualification and a post- or advanced graduate qualification (normally a Masters level degree). You will have held a mid to senior position of responsibility in the field of higher education (institution or agency). You will also be required to supply the names of two referees.
