The programme is delivered by a core team from the Bath MBA and Innovation Centre supported by executives, CEOs and investors from some of the UK’s most entrepreneurial companies and venture capital partnerships.

 
Greville Commins

Greville Commins
Originally studying electronics Greville formed his own start-up company in 1982 followed by an exit after 3 years and 5 years in Intel Systems Marketing. Joining STMicroelectronics in 1990 he marketed silicon and software globally, spent 5 years as US Operations Director in Silicon Valley gaining US, Europe and Asian business experience.

In 2001 became ST Marketing Director sourcing IP and technology for future products. A business mentor since 2001, in 2007 he became Entrepreneur in Residence for SETsquared. He has held Non-executive Director positions in hi-tech start-up companies.

Nick Jankel

Nick Jankel
Founder, WECREATE
Nick was a youth leader and Young Enterprise winner before he was 15; a science teacher in rural Africa before he was 20; had created a global strategy and innovation consultancy which helped launch Xbox and create Dancing with Stars by the age of 25; built it into a multi-million pound company working with innovation giants like Pepsi, Unilever, Diageo, Disney, P&G and Tesco (and advised No.10 Downing Street on innovation) before he was 30; and by the time he was 31 he had walked away from it to be an ethical entrepreneur dedicated to enabling the co-creation of a radically better world through innovation and purpose-driven enterprise.

Since then Nick has worked with national governments, public institutions, non-profits and many Fortune 500 companies. Nick has taught on the MBA programs of 6 of the top 10 business schools in the UK. Nick is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Ambassador of Enterprise for the UK; a Visiting Research Fellow of two British universities and educator at UC Berkeley; has given keynotes and lectures at places as diverse as Oxford University, The Economist Summit, The Institute of Directors, The Kaos Pilots, The European Parliament and Ford Motor Cars.

 
Jill Nurse

Jill Nurse
Jill is a Marketing Specialist and professional Educator. Working for MNCs such as BSkyB, Cable & Wireless Communications, Thorn EMI, as well as involvement in smaller start up organisations, she has perfomed at senior Corporate Level as well as having responsibility for successfully gaining 1st round funding with a technology start-up. Following around twenty years marketing & business development experience at a senior level, she has developed an award winning career using that experience to help students to understand the application of theoretical management and strategy concepts.

She now lectures at the London School of Economics & Political Science, Henley Business School and is an Examiner for University of London, and the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She also runs a training practice working with firms such as Merlin Entertainments, and a Magic Circle Law Firm, and teaches practitioners at the highest level, CIM Professional Marketing qualifications.

 
Alister Rollins

Alister Rollins
Alister started his first business when he was 21, whilst studying for his Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. Alister went on to not only obtain his degree, but also to be awarded with the prestigious Jaeger-Le-Coultre and Telegraph UK Business Award for Young Entrepreneur of the Year, acknowledging his success with this business - The Retention People (TRP).

He built TRP into a multi million pound corporation, which specialises in software and consultancy for customer retention. Alister sold this business in 2011 and is now a renowned consultant in the field of customer loyalty. He is a strong believer that integrity, loyalty and service results in a successful business and a happy life.

 
Alister Rollins

David Maher Roberts
David is an experienced entrepreneur in the tech & media sector with 15+ years of Board-level roles with both early to mid-stage startups and larger publicly quoted companies.

He most recently lead the turnaround of The Filter as CEO, from a UK-based music playlist app to a profitable leader in B2B personalisation and discovery systems for media. Prior to that he was on the Board of media company Future Publishing, and was responsible for all of their digital operations in UK & Europe. He is currently a Non-Executive Board Advisor for a number of tech start-ups and provides consultancy services to US tech companies setting up in Europe.

David is passionate about content+people+data and is a regular speaker at tech media events including SxSW, Digital Hollywood, AlwaysOn, TechCrunch, Streaming Media, Midem, Berlin Music Week, SFMusicTech, Monaco Media Forum.
