Portrair of Professor Veronica Hope Hailey

Professor Veronica Hope HaileyBA, MSc, PhD. University of Bath Vice-President; Dean, School of Management and Chair in Management Studies

Veronica's research focuses on the link between Business Strategy, HR Strategy and Change Management. She is particularly interested in the relationship between organisational change and individual transition. She teaches and consults on an international basis. Veronica specialises in working with large, mature organisations in collaborative research partnerships. A consistent theme of these collaborations is exploration of the challenges of corporate renewal and people transformation. Her most recent work has focused on the Repair of Trust following the financial crisis, culminating in a report for the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) "Where has all the trust gone?" Veronica has just commenced a new project with the CIPD, looking at Innovation and HRM. She is also launching the second phase of her Trust research, examining how to foster the development of trustworthy leaders. A member of the UK Government's Task Force on Employee Engagement. Veronica ranked 6th in the 2016 HR Most Influential Thinkers List. She also listed in the 2015 Top Thought Leaders in Trust.

Dr Dominic SwordsAssociate

Dominic is an Associate of the University of Bath School of Management. He brings a deep and pragmatic understanding of the impact of market change on the strategic, operational and financial needs and resourcing of organisations. He consults with a range of businesses and is a regular speaker at corporate conferences on the business impact of economic change. Dominic has over 15 years of international experience and has run client projects throughout Europe, the States, Middle East, India and the Asia Pacific. He has worked with clients across a range of sectors. A frequent contributor to TV and Radio programmes including BBC Today program, Financial World Tonight, World Business Report, BBC News 24, the Money program and CNBC's 'Strictly Money'. Recent subjects have the current financial crisis and the recession, economic prospects for the UK, the re-structuring of the European airline industry, analysis of fiscal policy and the Budget.

Professor Nick PearceProfessor of Public Policy and Director of The Institute for Policy Research (IPR)

Nick has extensive experience in policy research and government policymaking, UK and internationally. An author and regular commentator on public policy in broadcast and print media, writing on a wide range of issues, from social justice, public service reform and identity politics to the changing nature of political leadership. Previous roles include Director of the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), where his team produced public policy research in: public services, economic reform, welfare state, migration, energy and environment, politics and power. Headed up the No10 Downing St. Policy Unit and was special advisor in the Home Office, Cabinet Office and former Department for Education and Employment. Nick served on the Equalities Review and the Teaching & Learning 2020 Review. Co-edits the IPPR journal of ideas Juncture; honorary fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects and on the board of the RIBA. Member of the UK-India Roundtable and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office's Diplomatic Excellence Panel.

South Africa

Professor Andre Roux

Professor Andre Roux, was the Director of the Institute for Futures Research (IFR) at the University of Stellenbosch from 1996 to August 2015. The IFR ran interventions with and for leaders and strategists in business and government. The IFR has 110 corporate and government department clients. Andre lectures on economics and futures thinking. Andre has delivered post graduate programmes all over Africa and Australia. He is a guest lecturer on postgraduate programmes at the Dept. of Industrial Psychology, School of Public Management at USB and Post-graduate diploma in Managing HIV and AIDS in the work-place. Initiator and programme head of two postgraduate programmes in Futures Studies. Andre holds a PhD in Economics (University of Stellenbosch) and is responsible for more than 150 popular publications. A regular guest on radio and television programmes, Andre was awarded the Rector's award for excellence in teaching at the University of Stellenbosch in 1999, and gives more than 60 talks/presentations each year.

Dr Jako Volschenk

Dr Jako Volschenk is a Senior Lecturer in Strategy & Sustainability at the USB as well as on other Masters programs in South Africa and France. He has worked with a number of South African and global institutions, including the WWF, Nedbank and USAID. He consults in the areas of strategy and environmental sustainability. Dr Volschenk has published in the areas of co-opetition, energy, sustainability, as well as microfinance. Previously Jako was a researcher with the Africa Centre for Investment Analysis and acted as coordinator of the Africa SMME Awards. Jako has also consulted in the areas of social impact of private equity investments and development finance. He holds a PhD in the area of Co-opetition.

Professor Annika Rudman

Prof Annika Rudman, Public International Law, International Human Rights Law and International Property Rights. She has taught Public International Law at Universities of Lund and Malmo in Sweden as well as the University of Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania. She has carried out extensive research in East and West Africa as well as in South Africa in relation to her interest in land rights, gender equality and customary land tenure. Her research focus is: Property rights as Human Rights; Gender, land rights and customary law in South Africa; The constitutional protection of equality and property in the South African Constitution; Formalisation of property rights and sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa and Feminist legal theory.

China

Professor Wu XiaoboDean of the School of Management of Zhejiang University

Professor Ww Xiaobo has long been interested in the teaching and research of innovation and strategic management of Chinese enterprises in the global network, and is committed to promoting the healthy forces leading China's economic development. He is also pioneering in the secondary innovation management, global manufacturing and innovation strategy, information technology and management change, inclusive innovation and other fields.

Dr. Ben ShenglinProfessor of Banking & Finance & Dean, Academy of Internet Finance, Zhejiang University

Prior to embarking on an Academic career, Dr Ben worked in the Financial services with ABN AMRO, HSBC and lastly JP Morgan Chase as CEO, JP Morgan Chase Bank (China) Co Ltd.

He teaches and researches on International Finance, Internet Finance, FinTech, Entrepreneurial Finance and Global Business

You'll take part in a five-day module at each of the three business schools plus optional sightseeing and social activities during the weekend before modules start.

There will also be a launch event in each country before the programme begins for participants from that country.
