Key Research Interests:
Institutional theory, strategy, change, management education, sustainability, CSR, governance.
My research involves institutional theory and in particular the concept of decoupling. I am interested in how organisations respond to institutional pressures with various strategies and how those strategies may be enacted or resisted by internal actors. A key contribution of my work is in theoretically integrating both traditional accounts of decoupling and more recent developments into a single coherent frame. The empirical setting for my PhD is UK business schools and their strategies for integrating sustainability into their organisations.
