Research Interests

My specialist field of research is strategic supply management with particular interests including the development of the concept of supply strategy, an holistic approach to supply networks, formulation of strategy for supply networks, complex confederal public sector supply networks, international comparative studies of public procurement, the study of perceptions in supply chains, focus and roles in supply chains, e-procurement, and supply chain performance. I am co-Director of the research partnership with the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency on supply strategy in the health sector helping to innovate service packages and redesign the supply network to serve end customers better, and to deliver government objectives.
