I am Director of the International Centre for Higher Education Management (ICHEM). My current research interests are the (impacts of the) change fromgovernment to governance in higher education, the dynamics of organizational change, inertia and diversity in higher education, institutional management andgovernance, and internationalisation and Europeanisation. I have been involved in a number of national and international research projects, commissioned by national governments, the European Commission and the Organization for Economic and Cultural Development. I have also been involved in various consultancy projects across the world. My teaching portfolio (for the DBA in Higher Education Management) includes: governance, organizational change, diversity and Europeanisation. I am editor of Higher Education Policy and editorial boardmember of Tertiary Education and Management (TEAM), Journal of Studies in International Education, European Journal of Higher Education, and Educational Researcher (US).
