Research Interests
My main research interests are focused on developing our understanding of the way in which strategies, and associated processes and practices, relate to the wider institutional setting in which organizations operate. In this context I have a particular interest in diversification strategy, the relationship between strategy and organization, and international management. A related area of interest lies in comparative business organization and management.
PhD Supervision
I welcome enquiries from potential PhD candidates in the broad areas of strategic and international management with a particular interest in comparative and longitudinal studies. More specifically, I wish to encourage students interested in researching the relationship between the strategic development of organisations and the wider institutional context in which they operate.
