Meet the Faculty
As a top UK business school our academics are leaders in their fields. See below for a summary of the interests of the faculty who teach on the programme.

Dr Mehdi BoussebaaDirector of Studies for the MSc in Human Resource Management and Consulting, Lecturer in Organisational Studies My primary research investigates the managerial and organisational implications of globalisation. Empirically, I currently focus on global professional service firms and, theoretically, I draw on the fields of International Management and Organisation Theory (principally Institutionalism and Postcolonialism). My most recent research project examined the organisational challenges that globalisation creates for major management consultancies, focusing on such domains as the international transfer of employees, the formation of global teams, and the worldwide diffusion of knowledge. |
|
Professor Rob BrinerProfessor of Organisational Psychology I am particularly interested in the reciprocal relationships between work conditions (e.g. characteristics, events, the psychological contract, contexts) psychological well-being/affect (e.g. emotion, moods, 'stress', satisfaction) and behaviours (e.g. pro- and anti-social, withdrawal and withdrawal of effort, engagement, job crafting). My other research areas include the psychological contract, ethnicity, absence, work-nonwork relationships and food and organizations. I am also involved in several initiatives around evidence-based management which seek to identify ways of increasing the use of evidence of various kinds (including academic research) in management practice. |
|
Professor Andrew BrownProfessor of Organization Studies My current research is an exploration of aspects of the linguistic turn in Organization Studies, and draws on a broad range of disciplines from literary theory to anthropology and discursive psychology in an attempt to theorise processes of organizing, identities, change and leadership (e.g., Currie & Brown 2003; Humphreys & Brown, 2002). |

This has involved extensive empirical research in private and public sector organizations on a series of projects mostly sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Most recently this has involved a two year research project examining the links between managing people and managing knowledge in a series of professional service firms in the UK and the US. This research has been published in a variety of academic and practitioner publications and presented at various international conferences.
