Course: MSc Advanced Management Practice, 2011-2012 Why did you choose to study a Master's in the UK? The UK offers a world-class education combined with a fantastic environment for international students. Also most UK Masters are one-year in length compared to two years elsewhere which also made the UK more appealing. Why the University of Bath School of Management and why the MSc in Advanced Management Practice? It was my aim to pursue a Masters from a top ranked university and Bath is consistently high in its ranking of business studies. The AMP course offered both theoretical and practical experience unlike other MScs in the same league. Apart from the University, Bath is a location par excellence and is very well suited for students. What skills did the course provide you with? The course is very intense and a lot is expected from you academically. The rigor and research needed to draft a dissertation and other coursework increased my intellectual output considerably. The placement helped me gain work experience in a multinational company thus providing a complete learning experience. Where did you do your placement? I did my placement at the Oil and Gas giant BG –Group How has the course helped with your career? This course has been the biggest differentiating factor in my career. A Master’s degree from a top ranked university combined with a placement in a strong multinational company reflects well not only on your C.V but also in your work practice. What was it like to study at Bath? The scenic beauty of Bath is almost too good to be true! This coupled with its safe and vibrant environment kept me relaxed and focused on my studies. As I lived in the student dorm in the city nothing was ever too far away. The 24-hour library at Bath was another unique aspect of the University. Can you tell me about what you’re doing now? I am an entrepreneur now and have my own Digital media consultancy firm in Mumbai. |
