I decided to do ITM because of the dual nature of the course. It doesn't just expose you to technical information or management. Rather, it combines the two, allowing you to observe environments under which technology innovations will thrive.

I was attracted by both the high standard and variety offered by the course and university as well as the diverse student population and activities on offer here.

The programme is perfect in combining engineering with the management of a company. Graduates from the programme act as an agent between the two extremes. Even though the programme is still new I was persuaded of its merit from the very beginning.

I have always had a passion for business and technology and knew this was an area I wanted to concentrate on. Within the Ministry of Defence there are many opportunities to work with new and exciting technology, but the best positions are always very highly contested. The skills I will learn through this MSc will allow me to offer not just technical management, but the ability to work creatively and understand how to make innovation implementable.  The specific nature of the course will mean that my applications will have something different and hopefully stand out from others.

I am finding the MSc in Innovation and Technology Management very useful. It’s giving me a clear understanding of the aspects of engineering, while improving my management skills and learning.
