12 December 2002: Close Links Between the School of Management and the Business Community Recognised in the 2002 TCS Awards
A Bath business, Zenith International Ltd, has received national recognition for its successful TCS (Teaching Company Scheme) Programme - a three-way relationship between Zenith International Ltd, Dr Richard Vidgen, Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at the University of Bath School of Management and graduate Tom Scotney, the TCS Associate. The award was presented by Lord Sainsbury, Minister for Science and Innovation, at the annual TCS Awards Ceremony in London on 5 December 2002. [more info]

7 August 2002: International Business Schools Sailing Regatta
The intrepid crew of the Bath MBA boat at this year's International Business Schools Sailing Regatta braved the high seas of the Solent on 20th and 21st July. Pitting their sailing skills against crews from other International business schools including Cranfield, Rotterdam, Nyenrode, Bocconi, Smurfit, Trinity, LBS, Warwick, and Imperial, the crew made a valiant attempt at mastering their opponents. 23 July 2002: School of Management Graduation 2002 - Sponsored Prizes
The School of Management enjoys close relationships with the corporate world throughout the academic year. The Annual Graduation Ceremony which this year took place on Wednesday 10th July at the Forum in the Bath city centre provided the opportunity for a number of our corporate contacts to present sponsored prizes to some of our highest achieving graduating students. Jeyhun Mammadbayli followed in the footsteps of his father recently when he travelled to New York to participate in the Model United Nations Conference. Born in Azerbaijan, Jeyhun, whose father and uncle were both Azeri diplomats, is currently studying for a full-time MBA at University of Bath School of Management. [more info]
11 June 2002: The University of Bath's MAnagement Students are more Employable Than Those from Oxford and Cambridge
The Guardian newspaper has today published the results of a survey of more than 220 graduate recruiters. The survey suggests that graduate recruiters are no longer simply looking for graduates from Oxbridge and other members of the Russell group of universities, they are looking at institutions which excel in specific subject areas. For students, such findings are a valuable resource in helping to choose the right institution for their studies. The University of Bath is rated third equal for Business and Management studies. 31 May 2002: University of Bath School of Management Student Takes 1st Prize in the Inter-Academic Stock Exchange Simulation at HEC, Montreal
Congratulations to Katrina Blampied, a third year IMML student who successfully took first prize of Canadian $2,000 at the recent Inter-Academic Stock Exchange simulation whilst studying for two semesters at HEC, Montreal. [more info]

The Financial Times has today published its 2002 survey of the world's top 100 full-time MBA programmes. This international ranking confirms The University of Bath School of Management's place in the top 5% of MBA providers worldwide. The survey also lists Bath in the 'Leagues of their Own' category for 'Research: Europe'. [more info]
