5 December 2003: Surfing the Wavers: Management Challenges, Management Solutions
Professor Andrew Pettigrew, Dean of the University of Bath School of Management is a keynote speaker at this week’s 17th annual conference of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM). Drawing together leading academics from across the world to consider the latest management thinking, ANZAM’s theme this year is: ‘Surfing the Waves: Management Challenges, Management Solutions’. Professor Pettigrew’s presentation to the conference will provide an important stimulus for considering the ‘waves of thinking’that influence management research and education. [more info]

The University of Bath School of Management has been selected from the cream of the UK’s business schools to host the winner of Nikkei Business Associe’s (Japan’s equivalent to the Financial Times) one week scholarship to the UK. [more info]
1 December 2003: Obsession is the Key to Success
The University of Bath School of Management was delighted to welcome Sir Peter Williams CBE, FREng, FRS as guest speaker to an invited audience of Bath alumni and corporate contacts at the Institution of Electrical Engineers, Savoy Place, London on 21st October 2003. The lecture underlined the strong collaboration that exists between the University of Bath’s School of Management and its Engineering Faculty. It also heralded the latest initiative of the School of Management in taking the lead role in the Engineering Management Partnership (EMP) and in launching an innovative MBA for engineers, scientists and technologists at the university’s Swindon campus. 20 October 2003: Financial Times 2003 EMBA Ranking
The Financial Times has today published their annual ranking of the world's top Executive MBA programmes. This is the third year that the survey has been conducted. In 2003 the ranking has grown from 50 to 75 schools, with many schools eligible for participation for the first time. More than 80 schools participated overall. [more info]
9 September 2003: Golden Triple at the 2003 IDM Awards
A team from the University of Bath School of Management have once again taken the Gold Award in the 2003 IDM Direct Marketing competition. Now in it’s sixth year, the 2003 IDM Student Direct Marketing Competition Awards Ceremony took place at the Shakespeare’s Globe, London, on 25 July 2003. [more info]
27 July 2003: International Business Schools Sailing Regatta
One of the most memorable and enjoyable weekends of the MBA calendar, this year’s annual International Business Schools Sailing Regatta saw the Bath MBA crew pitted against rivals from: Cranfield, Rotterdam, Nyenrode, Bocconi, Smurfit, Trinity, LBS, Warwick, and Imperial. The sun shone on the crew of the Bath MBA boat, which despite having few experienced sailors put forward a valiant effort and finished in the middle of the field. [more info]

17 June 2003: Renaissance Wins the 2003 Claverton Entrepreneurship Competition - Sponsored by Icon Corporate Finance
The University of Bath School of Management is delighted to announce that Renaissance has won the 2003 Claverton Entrepreneurship Competition. The five members of the winning team received certificates in recognition of their successful business plan at a reception in the Claverton Rooms last Friday. Their new business venture seeks to ‘restore civility and charm to the experience of air travel’and was judged to be the best of this year’s entries. [more info]

The Financial Times has today published its 2003 survey of the world's top 100 full-time MBA programmes. Bath is listed in the 'Leagues of their Own' category as one of the ‘top 10 schools’for 'Best in organizational behaviour (alumni recommendations)'. [more info]
6 January 2003: Innovative MBA Scholarship Scheme to Reward On-Programme Performance
The University of Bath, School of Management has introduced an innovative, possibly unique, MBA scholarship scheme designed to reward on-programme academic performance. Up to five half-fee retrospective scholarships, worth c £9,000 each, will be available. [more info ]
